WOYWW 219 - part deux

They could hear us before they saw us apparently.....I'm talking about Annie (Wipso) and her husband, Doddy!!  I was just trying to purloin a shop fitting on the pavement in Marlborough that I thought was being chucked out, but was in fact, just waiting before being carried into the shop!!  Julia and Di were trying to ignore me at this point.....

Anyhoo, much chortling went on and it was this that announced our arrival at the meeting point...grin!
We adjourned to our local ASK and proceeded to have a very lovely couple of hours chatting, laughing and scoffing!

Annie and Doddy...a really lovely, chatty, happy couple - we got on like a house on fire!
The waitress (who clearly thought we were bonkers!) took this pic for us!

Annie (naughty girl) had brought us all a fab goodie bag with these treasures in. Thank you, they are really lovely..the poppies are definitely going in a frame and the little Ted has got a magnet in and came with a sweet poem.

But Di had brought a little something for Annie too!!

Ok..this pic needs a caption! The one that tickles me the most will win a small prize!!! I'll start the ball rolling....

Oo-er, nice cups, Mrs ;-)

It was a fab day and makes you realise that there are some wonderful people out there!

Great day from the sounds of it...Like Maudieroff I wish we had enough people close around that we could have a get together but...Maybe Deeyll and I can go visit with Elizabeth an Bluebeard someday!! Don't have anything politically correct to say about the cups Missus! Looks like Someone has two colored balls in her orange cup and someone only has one...maybe my balls are bigger then yours...

I wish I could have been there - it looks as if you had a great day.

I will try and think of something witty about the ice cream wars.... but it's a bit early and my brain's not awake yet.

Well that have me a good chuckle to start my day. I told Annie her new ly learnt techniques would come in handy( see her post this week) with you lot! Looks like a fun time and lovely goodies. How about
''Ice jugs' or maybe do I really need to eat it all

What a fun day indeed! It's a good job that chap did hop out of his van and point out that the fitting on the pavement belonged to the shop - visions of the three of us tootling back down Marlborough High Street with it between us, one moving shop fitting and three pair of feet seen below it!

Can't think of a caption but that sorbet really was delicious :)

Hugs, Di xx

What a brilliant day...looks like you all had a ball. The poppy card is stunning. Glad you didn't get arrested outside the shop! Hugs. Pam#33

Lucky girl. You seem to have had such a good day with all the others. I would put those poppies into a frame too, they are stunning. Thank you for your visit this week, and you will be glad to know that both dogs are still clean and sweet smelling so far. Have a lovely week remembering your fun. xx Maggie #116

OMgoodness it sounds like you lot had a ball. No pun intended. Not making the December card! Making a whole batch of cards to donate to the local school fete, also potting plants and making other stuff. My kids went to the school years ago and I still help out occasionally.

Oh, how I would have loved to have been there! I think I must put a visit on my bucket list. Yep, definitely. It looks as if you all have a wonderful time.

I've missed WOYWW so much; even though my post this week was a bit lame I felt I needed to get back on the horse, so to speak. Thank you for the wonderful welcome back!!

Hi Jan. Home at last. I have such happy memories of a special day. I really had been quite nervous waiting for you all to arrive, wondering if I would recognise you....all in vain of course cos it was the giggles that greeted me and of course all was well from that moment on :-) Life should be full of days like that. We both had a really wonderful week down in your neck of the woods.
My caption would have to be....it's serious stuff this ice cream eating [look at those faces!] ....maybe it was just having to eat it so quickly so I didn't feel left out :-)
Thanks again Jan for making us feel so very welcome in your home.
Hugs,
Annie x

OMG! You lot aren't safe to be out on your own without your carers are you!!!! And in Marlborough too! It is upper class there you know!!I think Julia is saying... "FFS how much longer has this coat rack got to sit on my shoulder whilst Jan faffs with getting a funny shot relating to our sorbets?"
Tee hee!

I was laughing so hard when I read this. You gals (and guy) know how to party. That's MY idea of a good time out and about. What fun you must have had. I just hope I get to meet you in real life. That would truly be the icing on my cake, the cream of the crop, and the the only bucket list I would ever want or need.

As for the photo, Di is saying "Why is Julia's larger than mine?"

Darnell said...

I was going to pop immediately back in after leaving my caption ... and oh, please, I could sit all day and make captions for that photo with those killer faces! ... and then, Pam's your Auntie, life whisked me away in a teacup! I just wanted to thank you for the lovely post and awesome photos of your Trixie-pixie day together! It's such a thrill to see your inner schoolgirls come out to play in true LITS fashion! Mwah!

What a great post. That screams happiness, laughter, fun with friends. That is on the top 3 on my bucket list, to have a gatering with other like minded fabulous folks from woyww. How could a gathering like that be anything but borderline illegal fun?? I'm happy for all you gals getting to spend such a great time together. Are your jaws and ab muscles still sore from all the laughing you did?? TY for sharing. I just realized, I have been sitting here typing away with a giant ass grin across my face. (((HUGS)))
