WOYWW 398

A WHOLE NEW WORLD FOR YOU AND ME....

Well, it will be next Monday when we finally move into our new place in Wales!  The past two weeks have been a combination of picking up keys, checking the new place out, packing boxes and socialising quite a bit! And making sure that Julia knows where I'll be living. As she said, I can run but I can't hide...... :-D

My craft room is now all in boxes:
Well, actually it's the plastic boxes behind this lot - I really don't have that huge a stash. I know it's hard to believe :-D  I'm fortunate in that the smallest bedroom will be JanCave Mark2, it'll be great to have a space that I can just leave stuff out in once again.

There have also been a lot of goodbyes - I knew that leaving band would be one of the hardest things to do, but it was made more emotional when they presented me with this:
A painting of the Phoenix Logo, done by the DiL of David, the MD and everyone in band has signed around the mount. And the writing at the top?

Cleverly using some of my favourite tunes to say goodbye. I sobbed! Then I blubbed. I absolutely love it - great memories of wonderful friends in a fantastic band.  It's going to have pride of place in the new house and will be a reminder of some truly lovely people.

I shan't see you for a couple of weeks until we get the Interwebs up and running. So take care and keep crafting xxxxxxxx

Will be praying you have a good move, adjust well and an easy transition. I could find no comment button at the moment on Julia's blog so will have to try later. Best Wishes to You.

  20. No wonder you blubbed, Jan. I would've too. It's always the hardest thing to leave friends, but you're not going too far and I'm sure you'll be inundated with visitors, you'll be opening a B&B. Wishing you both a stress free move and hope it all goes really well and you settle into your new home quickly. Will be thinking about you and look forward to seeing you on the other side.

  26. Yay, you've made it this week! Just popped in to see how you're getting on. Lovely that you will have your own craft room again! When you said you sobbed, you almost made me cry too - I'm pretty good at not crying in these situations, until someone else starts crying, LOL! That always sets me off! I bet your bandmates will miss you dearly! Time for a new chapter to begin! All the best with the move! zsuzsa #14 (don't worry if you can't return the visit!)

  29. And I am sat on the bed in a hotel in ... Phoenix Arizona! How that for a coincidence today? That is a beautiful piece of artwork for you to keep and blub over many many more times I do not doubt. I would, I know. Just shows you have heart hun!
Good luck with the move next Monday, not a clue where I will be over here as it depends on the weather as to where we go - probably back to LA to be honest.
Take care, enjoy your new adventure and it won't be long before you make lots of new ones. A new beginning, a new chapter in your life - enjoy!
Hugs & Thanks for visiting me whilst I am in a different time zone xxx

I see the Britannia box. we used them when we moved here - fantastic! Love the picture of you in the lovely gift you have been given by the band.
Take care the pair of you, and as Julia says. You can run but you can't hide - just make sure the kettle goes on - you will be in the homeland soon - and it's not that far to visit you! God bless.
